Great conditions.
In the trees at around 12,000-feet on north aspects had about 6 inches of fresh on a rounding snowpack with weak crusts where there was sun effect. The usually N-NW wind was coming out of the east kept the fresh on the nice soft northerly aspects.
The garbage shale conglomerate gendarmes on the ridges and ribs by resolution mountain and the Fowler-Hillard hut created a spectacular playground without the usual scouring.
Definitely worth hitting up the Fowler-Hillard hut. The word ‘hut’ was the last thing that came to mind. Six inch think mattresses… We had the place to our self and booked it the night before. Gotta love spring.
