2500-feet above sea level the pass provides amazing access to some of the most specatular ski touring terrain and numerous 5500-6500 foot summits.

While this area is known for its heli-skiing, the access for ski touring is second to none and allows for some enjoyable ridge climbs as well as ski descents.

We had excellent conditions this trip arriving on the heels of a significant storm and natural avalanche cycle that helped to flush out some persisting avalanche problems.

With the first day of sun in a week we started of several weeks of moderate weather.
